Before online dating, men have to spend countless hours writing tons of letters to answer women’s' ads. With the introduction of online dating, all this has changed. Now all you got to do was to sign up and set a profile with picture, write a brief note to invite women to check out your profile and you're done.
The number of women registered with these online dating agencies are huge, and the proportion of women is always higher than men. Generally, the number of women also increase with age, and this can almost make you think that you must be in demand just by being a man. If only things were this simple.
If the only thing you do is the standard 'check out my profile' with a nice picture of yourself, you do get some views plus some emails from women who like what they saw. Sounds like success without the heavy work? Before long, you'll notice that although these women initiate the contact, they won't necessary be interested to follow through or go out on dates with you.
With men, it's straightforward as an email simply means that he's available. Women do not conform to this set of rules even when they are the one who send out emails in the first place. Most women like to take their time to comb through the list of men and maintain their rights of being choosy. You would think that the sheer numbers of women in dating sites will make them less picky but that is not the case at all.
With this, men will be prone to making one of these 3 major mistakes:
Mistake #1: Being Aggressive
Do not insist on meeting up her if she is not ready for it. It simply means that you have not won her trust, so keep trying.
Accusing her of being afraid to meet you won't help. She is not a bloke and will not see it as a dare to proof you wrong. Women just do not function this way. If you try to pressure her any further, she will probably agree to go out with you and change her number after that.
Mistake #2: Looking To Meet The Ideal Women
The ideal women are created in your mind, and they probably don't exist in real life. Sure we do have fantasies and in it women look stunning and act gentle and their only hobby is pleasing you. But if you hold on tight enough to your ideal, it is very hard to find someone who fits the bill or even come close.
Once you learn to open up your mind, you'll find that there are many women with great qualities that are just different from your idea of an ideal woman, and you'll get more success this way.
Mistake #3: Lying and Exaggerating
Whether you commit this crime because of the anonymity or to get more attention, it just won't work in the end. Anonymity will no longer exist when she agrees to go out with you, and she's bound to find out you're not who you claimed to be when that happens.
If you are reluctant to answer some of her questions, simply avoid them rather than making up stories. You may tell her in time when she has gotten to know you better and things like how much you make and how many times you have been married don't matter so much anymore, if only you did not lie about it earlier.
