There comes a time in almost every relationship where you think it might not work out but your partner does not want to let it go. There is no point in carrying on a relationship if you are not into it anymore. To make a relationship successful both parties should be willing to commit. Therefore it is better to dump the person you are with and move on. Now dumping a guy is not as easy as it sounds. It can lead to anger which might turn into revenge and you might suffer from your partners end. Therefore it should be done in a nice friendly manner keeping the person's feelings in mind.
Never dump a guy on the phone - People think they can easily get away with that last phone call, sms or an email. This leaves the person being dumped confused about the possible reasons why and he would most probably contact you again and would keep bugging you until you give him a valid reason. There have been many cases where by when a guy was dumped on the phone or any other non physical manner it got him angry which indeed lead to mental and physical assault to the female. Therefore you need to be careful as it's only a matter of time when your ex turns into a beast.
Tell him why - Always provide the guy with valid reasons why you dumped him. Be honest about the things which you did not like about him and wanted a change. Even if you do not have any reasons and just have a feeling inside you that the relationship is dead simply tell him that you two are not compatible and moving on is the best option.
Be friends - Do not end the relationship on a sad note. Tell him that you two will still be friends and would always be in contact no matter what. Discuss the issues and problems out together.
Don't be guilty - We all get a guilty conscience after we have done such an act. But this was absolutely important and was a necessity for you. Life is limited and you need to look for better things. All human beings move on after a while and time heals it therefore the guy you dumped would eventually move on as well and would find someone else.
