Topics to Avoid On a Date

People have a habit of frequently divulging our personality flaws to each other. Most of the time we don't care, for example telling your roommate how you own 9 of the 11 seasons of M*A*S*H and can repeat every episode is fine but you probably want to keep that to yourself on a date. You want to avoid talking about things that will annoying him or her which is easier said then done. The purpose of a date is to get their interest and not to scare them away. These are some topics you should avoid.

1. Health Problems are not necessarily very interesting to your date. Don't be lead to think that you will win your dates sympathy by relying your health history to her.

2. Remember that women hate Jargon, and talking about some data entry job will bring nothing but boredom from your date. Keep the details of your job edited and don't go into detail about everything.

3. Do not talk about your exes. Do not tell her how your last girl friend called you 12 times a day, or let slip in that you cheated on her. You do not want to let out your flaws yet and talking about past exes will most likely let them flow out. You want them to believe that you are completely emotionally unattached to any of your past relationships.

4. Most women do not like sports as much as men do, do not give them a whole history on your favorite sports team and tell her why they should have won the play offs this year. Most likely they will sit and smile at you but be completely uninterested on the inside. You can not make her think you are intelligent by spitting out football statistics.

5. Do not talk about the future and ask how many kids they want or when they want to get married. You will only come off as desperate.

6. Never ask your date how much they make or if they are in debt. Your are on a date and are not doing a background check on them.

7. A first date is no time to bring up sex. You may be interested in their view but the first date is not the time.

8. Religion is something else to avoid. You may feel very strongly about yours but a heated discussion can quickly seem like an argument.

Eventually when you are in a committed relationship everything can come out in a more open and comfortable setting and can have discussions that won't cause a riff in your partnership.
