Finding True Love After 40

Face it . . . if you are a divorced, widowed or single woman over 40, 50 even 60 years old and you are searching for true love within a committed relationship or marriage--you had better put your best foot forward.

 

I am amazed at what mature single women say about men and dating:

 

"There are just no good men out there."

 

Not true, however, we older women may have to work harder to find him.

 

"Men want to date and marry women much younger than them."

 

Yes, many times this is true, but I believe there are older men who feel threatened or insecure with a much younger woman, or the age gap makes it difficult for him to share conversation or common interests, consequently many men choose to be with a woman close to their own age. Come to think of it, many men prefer the intelligence, wisdom and sexuality of an older woman.

 

First impressions are lasting impressions; if you want to attract man, of any age, you had better make the most of your senior marketability. Here are three things that cause a man to passionately pursue a woman.

 

Approachability: Men really are chickens when it comes to making the first move to meet a woman. They will avoid a woman who appears aloof, needy or indifferent. They are attracted to a woman who is confident, friendly and upbeat. Want a man to say "hello"? A smile a powerful flirting tool that tells a man you are interested in him.

 

Confidence: There is nothing that attracts a man to a woman more than a healthy level of confidence. My best advice is: never compare yourself to another woman; it will only chip away at your self-esteem.

 

Style: Men truly do enjoy seeing a woman in a skirt, a strand of pearls, a chic haircut, a soft blouse with a lacy slip strap that accidentally peers from underneath. The key is, whatever your style, wear it with class.
